Regional Development Australia Great Southern WA Inc

Regional Development Australia (RDA) is an initiative of the Australian Government that aims to enhance the growth and development of regional areas by bringing together the three levels of government and working together to provide a strategic and targeted response to issues in regional areas.  

RDA Great Southern Inc is one of 55 committees representing regional areas across Australia.

The Hon Simon Crean is the Minister for the newly created Department of Regional Australia, Regional Development and Local Government in the current Federal Labor minority government.

RDA Fund Round Two

RDA has welcomed the announcement of the projects proceeding to the full application stage for Round 2 of the Regional Development Australia Fund (RDAF) that will invest $200 million into regional Australia.

The projects selected to proceed are:

  1. Enhanced Village Green Community Facilities – Centennial Oval (City of Albany)
  2. Upper Great Southern Regional Entertainment Centre (Shire of Katanning), and
  3. Sounness Park Community Recreation Development (Shire of Plantagenet).

Full applications closed on the 15 February 2012, with RDAF Round 3 expected to be announced in mid-2012
